What is the ticking noise in the first vid??

Funny I know exactly where that 2nd vid was taped at, LOL!!

 

Dead Zen said it was the direct port injection, all i can say is that it wasn't that loud in person.

 

Ecotec motors seem to be noisy anyway imo. I know the 2.4L has a lot of valvetrain noise at idle... it almost sounds like that vid. If I didn't know better, I'd say it could even be due to the VVT since both the LNF and LE5 have VVT and that sound seems quite familiar to me.

 

Would any Pittsburgh area guys be up for a scheduled motorcycle run sometime before long? Like some Saturday afternoon, like noon? We could meet up somewhere centralized to where everyone participating could get to easily. Then we could ride, grab some lunch, and ride more. I think it'd be cool. Street bikes, cruisers, whatever. ****, bring a Vespa. lol. Post or PM if you've got interest..!

Had some fun ripping up the mountain roads around my cabin this weekend as well.

 

Well we can't ALL have GTO's..



I'd love to set up some kind of ride. If not a CSSNET one, just a nice big one in general. I have a few friends around here with bikes. The one has an R6 and my uncle has a new Scrambler that's well modified. Few more too.. We should try to do something.. Hell, have everyone chip in 20 bucks and send all he cash to some cause. We'll be Gods. lol.

No no no. lol. As in we can't all have GTO's to cruise mountain roads in. Some of us just have dinky Cobalts.

 

Where did my comment say anything about cobalts are not allowed on mountain roads?

haha It's just that a GTO 6.0 would be a littttttle bit more fun than a Cobalt. haha

I've driven an s/c SS and both kinds of GTO's. They're entirely different cars. It's like you don't compare a Camry to a Bentley. The Cobalt is a nice little quick tuner car, but the GTO is a straight up beast. lol.

 

I agree. Auto illusions in Moon is pretty good. I just ordered a PAC steering wheel control interface so I can put an pioneer HU in and still be able to use the steering wheel controls. I'm picking it up today.

Yeah that's fairly new. The one kid I met on Sunday was trying to start it up. I'll check those out... I had no idea there were any local bike forums.

So me and a friend went for a ride this morning.. A little nippy, but it progressively warmed up throughout the day.. I had my 883R and my friend had his R6. He had an '88 Ninja 250 before this, and he got this one very recently. All stock except with a Jardine exhaust. Long story short, I rode it for about 10 minutes. I only THOUGHT I wanted a street bike before.. But then I rode one. Now I'm on a damn quest to get one. lol. ******* amazing. Here's a pic.
