Hey Boosted do you have AIM? I wanted to ask a few questions about HP Tuners. I'm thinking about buying it and I had a few questions that their website didn't clear up...

oh wow...lol i dont think power and tune was the issue...either you had a brain fart, ur left foot failed you, or you had more power than you know what to do with . Either way lemme know when u get those 60's in so we can get a serious tune done son.

just ordered them right now, and i think the issue was a little bit of all three of those things, ls4, 2.8, 60's, and a serious tune, get ready to do some pulls

Frew do you have anything else done to eliminate wheel hop besides the ETD? The reason I ask is because your setup (with the 2.8) is basically the direction i'm looking to go with my car next summer. I'm going a different route with the exhaust but all in all pretty close...

sadly no i dont, i do get it sometimes, but the damper helps a lil bit, i would suggest, bwoody solid mounts, boostedyards has them in his car and he likes them, the only thing about them is expect alot of vibration being transmited to your car from the motor, also ott performance has these new billet rotated motor mounts that move the engine and tranny into direct alignment with the axels and hubs, there suppose to completely eliminate axel hop, another option is good old fashion traction bars, some people daily them others say they are to aggressive for daily use, the only thing i dont like about them is i think you have to drill a hole into your lower control arm to mount the backside of the traction bar. Every once in a while hop will rear its ugly head, but for the most part my car fires straight and hopless.

Yea I have the ignalls on my car because I'm basically stock until my powertrain warranty is up and I had wheel hop like crazy before I put it on. I have it set to the stiffest setting and it's pretty much gone. I definately don't want solid mounts. I drive my car every day and put about 17,000 miles a year on it so the vibs would be a bit much. You still have the origional clutch?

then i would say go with stage one ott rotated motor mount its for sub 300 wheel cars like ourselves, and its reasonably affordable, with just stage one the vibs arent very bad, ya i still have the oe clutch, how bout yourself?

on the street my stock clutch doesn't slip. on the track with the hoosiers it hates me and i hate it. honestly i put alot of miles on my car as well and the bwoody mounts really aren't as bad as everyone says. but then again, i'm young and dont really care how easily streetable my car is...some ppl claim my car vibs bad others dont notice anything.
