I haven't gotten the head off the motor yet Brian. Almost had it last night but I snapped the head off a down pipe bolt so I just said **** it and went back inside. I will probably get the head off today, I got everything else off, just need to disconnect exhaust from it.

LOL it's pretty much ongoing, at least some of us meet up once a week if not more. Right now more because WSFrazier's tearing his engine apart so everyone's been getting together for that.

Next time we all get together MIGHT be for the Pgh Auto Show...IF we have one this year...part of the convention center floor collapsed so don't know if that will affect it or not. Otherwise once spring gets here everyone will be out a lot more.

when we don't have salt & snow on the ground....lol

Seriously... our meets in the good weather are usually alot of fun and have good turnouts, so I would say once April rolls around and the drag strips and autocross course start up, we'll all be out in some way shape and form.

Bewteen car shows, racing, hanging out and "activity day" we are always doing something.

Go karts, mini golf, Dave & Buster's... paint ball, etc...

You can say that again.

It's gonna be crazy for me just because I want to do SO much stuff now that I have the money.

My goal is to DEFINITELY be an instructor at BeaveRun by the end of the summer, so track days galore for me!

Also want to auto-x a LOT in State College, and a little here and there are Pgh.

Drag racing is out for me. I tried it, still don't like it. Maybe before I go to Solo Nats I'll give it a go just to get my launch down. Not too excited by the idea of spectating, but I might come out once in a while when I'm bored.

I definitely want to do more auto-x this summer. I want to get in on the season from the start and stick with it. I wouldn't mind doing a track day too.

I have a lot of extra cash flow coming in the next month. A good bit of that is going to be used wisely to pay off the credit card and some other bills... but another good bit of it is going straight to mods. I may have scrapped the turbo, but I'm not done modding just yet.

Well I have too many car parts sitting in boxes at home to not make this a fun track season. I'm just not looking forward to tearing into my perfectly good running engine with 15K miles on it. But when I do, its gonna be fast when I'm done.

Honestly Dan, you should be able to clean up at an auto-x with your car. The 2.4 isn't THAT far off from the 2.0 suspension. Do you have a cat delete or no? If so you're in a street prepared class, which I like a little better than STS/STX.

I'm trying to drag more Cobalt people up to the track days. They're a lot of fun and you don't necessarily need raw power at BR, there's really only two long straights and the rest is cornering.

Are you doing suspension stuff. If so there's a GB on the Progress Rear Anti-Sway bar, $125 shipped, I think they need like 4 more people. I'm on that like Rosie O'Donnell at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I have a few other minor purchases to make first. But suspension is definitely in the plans for this summer.

I don't have a cat at the moment... I prefer dogs. But seriously, cat-delete. Now I was planning on putting one back on with the new exhaust, but I'm not sure. I'm torn. I'm getting a cut-out for sure. I just don't know if I want the high flow cat or not.

Sounds fun!

For now I'm going all suspension. I need to know what the suspension will handle before I go adding power to the mix. I am still considering the GM 300hp build. That's an almost-definite, but probably on hold until next summer. I really want to do that with my dad's uncle though, he's worked on engines for years, so it'd be a lot of fun. Probably doing the TVS swap for sure, my cousin's practically begging me to give her the M62 so we can do something with her car.

Yeah, I'm staying in D-stock for now..... SO... I'm going to get the Koni's here soon, and the sway bar. A cat-back is on the table as well.

If I get this beater I'm hoping to get, then I might do some cosmetic ( interior AND Exterior ) to the car for shows and just to be a bit different.

Guages are a given....
