Yeah, let's get some cars out there to represent the Cobalt/Ion Nation.

Alicia is thinking about running.... I'll be there ( as long as my boss don't cough up his Steeler tix ), and then if we can get some cars for the other classes ... STS...etc.. we'd be set.

BJ, Nate = SM
Me=D-Stock
Alicia=STX/DSP ( depending on you running slicks )
Need some non-SC cars to run in STS so we can get all the bases covered.

Hmm if I had a helmet I might give it a shot. Anyone want to run my car with the LSD? See if it makes a difference? lol

Ok... 1st off... they have laoner helmets...

2ndly... between the rest of us ( assuming all 4 of us run ) there would be one you can borrow.

BUT... I woudn't mind at all trying out the LSD at the same time.... maybe register both cars, and I run twice....lol

Your proposal intrigues me...could I run my slicks on it?

Just Register it with 2 different numbers like 39 & 93 or something like that. Just gotta change them in between runs. Its been done before.

Brian, how strict are they in tech now? How picky are they on brakes? I think I'm gonna need to replace the fronts soon and probably the rears also, but I don't wanna drive all the way out there to run and they turn me down. Too many bad memories of going to PRP and finding out they're not running........

Then Brian has to go and ruin all the fun.

Actually, I need to look at travel arrangements...I have been offered an all-expenses paid trip to Nationals (just to watch). But I have to be back by Tuesday for class.

I've never had them look at my brakes. Which is good.....my driver's side rear rotor is GONE...

See Wes... lots of offers.

Nate... NHSCC has never really looked that hard at the wheel area... they DID question me about the "stockness" of the trunk-mounted battery. Normally they ask about it, and look... last week, I guess some regular Cobalt had teched ( at another event ) and said that he moved it there, so they questioned me about it.

SCR has looked at the wheels and even tugged on them to make sure the bearings are in good shape and such.

And to echo what was said .. Yes, Wes, you can "co-drive" 2 people in a car. As stated, you just need to be able to swtich the #'s between runs, so pick ones that aren't close together. Like 22 & 122 or 13 and 31, etc....

Just have to make sure no one in your class has those #'s.

I would love to throw Alicias R-comps on for an SCR event, but next year, I might ahve my own set....

muuhhhahahahahahahahhh

EDIT: BJ.... They are calling for a 40% chance of schattered showers that day. Looks like you better get Jay to order you some tires....lol

Yeah, I bet you would. Keep dreamin'. I'll take ya for a ride in my car with em on, but I'm selfish when it comes to my fun tires.

RAIN?! No, R-comps don't like the sound of that. The R does not stand for Rain....AT ALL. I guess if it rains we'll just have to see how well the Neros do in the wet...

BJ and I will be here around Robinson today. I doubt anyone wants to come out here but if you want something to do, come on out. He's getting a Cat delete then we're probably gonna grab something to eat or something.

I'm aiming for either Wednesday or Thursday. So I will have them on and ready to go by this weekend. I'll let ya know what I think of em. They look promising, but we'll see how well I like the harder compound. Although, my snows are harder and they actually handle better than the Rossos, so the Neros might be pretty damn good tires.

BJ, I've run my no-tread Rossos in the rain before and they still did pretty damn good.

I just ordered my 3" downpipe w/o cat ZZP was selling theirs off of their race setup saturn for $140. Stainless steel, bolt on to header, down to 2.5" to bolt to stock or aftermarket catback, o2 bung welded in for my WB o2 so I can put the stock one back in the header.

Best thing....20 min swap for inspection time

Time to find some cavaliers with open drivers windows so I can blow out baffles right next to them!

Well, if it don't rain, then we might have a nice spectator turnout. Maybe some cuties will come see the Men of the Autocross....lol

I have beenn surprised that there are acutally people watching. nice to have an audience.

I would prefer the rain free runs as well, but I just like to get some seat time... no matter what.

That's the point Melissa, Josh, and Sam were trying to drill into my head this weekend - now that I've got a car that can be VERY competitive, I just really need seat time. I know what I'm doing, I can manage speed pretty well, I can get the line fairly easily, I just need to get more consistant. I can drive the course and tell myself exactly where I messed up and how to fix it, I just need to get to the point where I automatically do it right the first time.

I have so many things on my "wish list" to do and not enough time/money to do them all, LOL. I'd like to do OLOA at least once, I want to get a road racing license, and I want to do Nationals.

Yeah... I've been told by some of the guys that have rode with me /watched me run, that I've picked up a hell of alot in 4 months ( 7 events this year ) or so... and that I seem to have the basic mechanics of the process down, I just need to get more comfortable with the car and learn how to push it better.

Justin & Ryan ( cousin ) have both driven it and have been really impressed with how well the car does.

So... that's where I need the work.... I've already secured some fun run drives for this weekend, both to drive mine and get feedback and also to drive other cars so I can compare.

OH, and I don't care if I come in LAST next year, I'm going to nats.
