Want a car poolin' buddy?

Ever since I ran out at State College I've had that bug on my shoulder to do nats. Josh, Sam, Ron, and Lauren are all bugging me to go.

If all goes as planned, Josh told me about how much money to budget so I've got some idea how much I have to make/save between now and then just for entry fees/lodging/food/extras.

Other than that, I want more suspension work on the car. Front and rear sways for sure, coilovers if I can swing them. My goal is to run DSPL.

Are you doing any contingencies? I'm looking into getting Yokohamas to replace the Tech-R's and going for the GRM one too. If I were to place first in my class (not bloody likely, but it could happen) I'd get almost a grand in contingency money.

I'm still thinking about going down this week for part of the week. Don't know yet. Like I said, I have it worked out so I can have a free trip basically. So I dunno. Sam knows one of the GMPD SS/SC drivers so it'd be an awesome contact to have. Who knows, we'll see.

BTW Brian, if you want to do the Witch's Rally with me, it's Saturday the 28th. I can get ya more information if you want. I think we have to have registration in by the 21st, I'm not sure.

Costumes are required (well not technically, but they count as points, plus there's a best costume prize). I'm going as a Playboy Bunny, I already have the costume...so if you want me as a co-driver your choices for costume are either Hef or another Bunny.

Ok... in response to your last 2 posts....

I have no clue what you mean aobut contingencies.....

The money issue for me is not a big deal for next year. What WILL be is getting the car ready. I have no clue what class I will be in next year, so I don't know what I would want to do.

The contact w/ GMPD would be really cool. Never hurts to make a new friend.

As far as the witches' run.... I'm leaning towards doing it. I could always break out last years' Dr. Evil costume.... Or maybe be "Dark Helmet".

Or I could just wear a bath robe and a pipe, and be Hef... I dunno... I'm old, but not THAT old. PLUS... I would need more than just one bunny...

Contingencies are basically sponsor money. You agree to put their decals on your car, you get money if you win. Yok's is $800 for 1st in class, GRM is like $150 for 1st in class. It's on the webpage for Nat's.

You should decide soon-ish what class you want to run in. As it was put to me DSP = suspension upgrades and SM = engine upgrades. At nationals I want to stay as FAR away from SM as I can. (Then again you can stay on street tires and run STX.)

Also you want to start looking for divisional events to run in prior to Nationals. I have no idea where they're gonna be next year. The last few I knew about were in NEPA, but that's a LONG drive.
