yah my dad is looking into getting a garage and buying a lift.

 

Dave was telling me that him and Dan might be splitting a lift. I would love to have access to one whenever I needed, lol. I seriously need to start looking into an apartment or something, I hate living here at home.

 

if you can live there... DO IT. Take advantage of it while you can. After that.... you have RENT and a car payment and the bills... makes it tough to do anything. Especially since you're single. That's why I haven't gotten a place. If I was negaged or something... i could afford a place iwth someone, but not alone.

well we got everything out except for the axles, tie rod ends, subframes, and tranny...need to get some advice on seperating them from the car...we spent about 2.5 hrs on it today and got attacked by a "huge freaking spider" aka crawfish...we captured it and took pics...and tried to get bailey to eat it but alicia wouldnt let her. Other than that well be working on it again starting around 9ish tomorrow whenever dave gets home.

Well the wheel bearing is going bad on the impala, or so my dad thinks so he wont let anyone drive it till it gets fixed. He has the truck all to himself, so therefore I got owned. haha.

It's alright, im going to the bodyshop now to talk to the dude about the repairs. I am going to see what they are exactly going to do, and get a copy of the order sheet. Wish I was old enough to rent a car for the week.

 

wheel bearing are easy iirc...and besides u have some time before it fails if its going bad...tell him its important...and if he plays his cards right it might get fixed while u take it out. Besides u know u wanna install the neons and clutch.

Hey Dave... while we're talking about mods......


I just sent that brace out to the shop to be "repaired"....

The shop foreman takes on look at it and says " whoa, this isn't STEEL ( pointing at the pipe ), this is some alloy..." and then says " Now, these plates are steel"

SO... that might be one of the reasons for the weld to have failed... dissimilar metals....

I told him if it's a problem, then just to make me one out of stronger materials, and send me the bill.

He said " OK... that'll be $5"

THAT'S the profit margin on this kinda stuff if you can do it in large #'s.....

 

You should tell them to make 100 and sell them on here Brian.

 

Well, since it's not MY design... I wouldn't do that...

BUT, I am working on some stuff. AutoCAD is the shiznit. Well, I'm sure Redline Dan will argue that the higher end MCAD and other products are better, and he's right... BUT I work witht what I got.

 

**** I love autocad...its the one i learned to use first and prefer to use...tho at valeo they used catia and it was a sick program...ultra advanced tho
