Tri-State Area Dyno Day!!!!
Wow, a lot of action going on in this thread since I was on this morning haha. Steve, I can give you a ride tomorrow if you need one, not a problem. The tools did finally come in, not sure why they didn't come yesterday with the "overnight" shipping, but at this point I don't care haha. I'm waiting on a call back from Matt as to the status of my car, he said possibly tonight it could be done, if thats the case, I'm getting it somehow, I'll walk if I have to haha. If not tonight, then he will have it strapped to the dyno for tomorrow morning to tune and dyno it. Depending on the status of it, I may go up there tomorrow morning if I can get out of work and then just stay the day and shoot the **** with Edubs hahaha, then cruise down to the mall with everyone else.
omg your invited to jerk face lol.....ill let everybody know if anything goes down tonight...

And a little update, no car tonight guys. Possibly no car tomorrow either. Yea... I know. The tools from JBP that Matt was using were not of the best "quality". They caused the timing chain to slip or pop or whatever it is does. So that has to get fixed, along with the cams still having to go in the car, and the dyno/tune. So yea, not good news. About a 3 hr. delay from Matt's standpoint. Best case secenario, the car will be done late tomorrow. Worst case scenario, the car will be on the dyno Sunday morning when everyone arrives for the meet. That would mean that I won't be able to make it out tomorrow night to the mall. So Steve, you gotta find another ride tomorrow hahaha. I also found out that Edubs is not making out so well, the dealership messed up the timing on his car as well so he will not be coming out tomorrow either, I'm trying to get a hold of him now to see whats going on. And that would be the update for everyone, nothing good.
Most likely, the cam position sensor wasn't calibrated correctly. It's being towed to the dealership tonight, but the ******** don't think they can touch it until Tuesday because they're backed up from the weather. I am going to drink until I pass out or **** myself...I will not be on again until I regain conciousness sometime tomorrow. Sorry if I let anyone down, but this has been a terrible experience getting these cams up and running. Hopefully everyone can learn from my experiences. I have to say big thanks to Mev at JBP for giving me his advice and calling back later to check up on things. Also, huge thanks to Matt at TTP for giving me his input on things and putting up with me bitching while my god damn car wouldn't start. You guys are the reason I got into cars and definately the reason I'm still with em' and will be for the rest of my life. Gotta love solid vendor support. Thanks you guys and hopefully I can get to meet you all eventually when I get my car tuned by Matt in...you know...at this rate...2015?
Edubs, sent you a text, no need to reply, you answered everything here for me. Sorry to hear that this is happening. Matt filled me in with some of the info as well. Were both just striking out big time. I hope greatly that everything works out fine and that the dealership rights the wrongs that they caused. Don't drink too much now hahaha. Keep me and everyone posted with some updates, and again, best of luck.
06blackg85ss, I don't think it was the cams, it was the dealerships error that they made during install, so far no one can really say whether or not these cams are worth buying, but hopefully soon.
