To kind of sort things out a little bit here, the list below is for anyone who wants to meet up at 8:30 AM at the Friendly's at the Rt. 70/Rt. 73 circle to cruise up to Tune Time Performance's shop. It is not at all necessary to meet here as we will all be at the shop during the day, this is just for those that want to cruise up in a group and for those who don't know how to get to the shop. iso, did you want to cruise with us or were you just saying that you'll be at the shop whenever? Sorry, little confused .

20. NJBLUESS - Dyno and Possible Tune
21. Joewit - Interested and Dyno/Tune

Some more up to date info for everyone. Ratchet104, your friend with the Scion tC is more than welcome to join Applenut, your HHR is also more than welcome to join. We will have to suggest that other than Cobalt member .net members, we would have to say that not many more would be allowed to join in due to the large amount of people already participating. Also, tuning appears like it may have to be done on Feb. 10th due to the amount of people taking place in the Dyno Day. If no tunes are done on the actual Dyno Day, then there is no limit to the amount of people who can come to dyno. Me, cavy-to-ss, damien, and 1gmfanatik will also be at Tune Time on Feb. 10th, so for those who want to get tuned then, you wouldn't be alone.

DTM2188, I might be interested to get tuned the 10th, does it matter if I let Tune Time know ahead of time? Im not sure right now if I have the funds or not.

It would be best to let them know, but you still have plenty time before they need to know. Your going to go with us anyways so if you don't know until last minute, it really shouldn't be a problem, you should be fine.

It would cost $350 for the tuning and your dyno pulls.

I plan on going next week to get her tuned, but I'm still going to the meet. $350 is the normal Cobalt SS tune price?

$350 isn't the normal price, it is discounted due to the Dyno Day that is being held. I'm sure that if you talk to Matt at Tune Time, that he would honor the price of $350 if you let him know that your taking part in the Dyno Day as well. Are you going on Feb. 10th with some of the other members (including myself) or a different week?

You would be safer and be set for future mods if ya went with the 60's. Always better to leave room to play, ya know??

I have money on the way for the Cams and springs, now I need the loot for the 60's and install and tune. lol..Damn money tree isn't growing fast enough.

The shop will open at 9 AM and won't close until everyone has gotten their chance to get on the dyno. If you want you can PM me your cell # and I can call you or vice versa and I'll let you know if were still there. Most likely I would think that we would still be there since there are a good amount of people going to get dynoed. Let me know.

I agree with 1gmfanatik on this one. BTW, the "guy" on their web-site is my old setup (2.8, 42lb., etc.) which I then switched to the 2.6 and 60lb. which they tuned for me.

You and me both..I would LOVE to get in on that GB. Not only would we have to get the pistons, we'd have to pick up the ARP or Eagle head studs and Cometic head gaskets also. Our vehicle specific Cometic gasket isn't out yet either from my understanding.

From my understanding though, you don't have to get them head gasket and studs correct? If your just looking to swap put the pistons right now, you can do just that and if you want to change the other stuff later, you can. Or is it necessary to do all three?

Well, I'm hearing that pushing the 20psi bearier will leave a possibility for the head gaskets to blow. I'm not sure if that's because the people that blew em were doing the wrong motor mods or what. I'm not too far behind you as far as boost goes, so I'm a bit concerned about this also. I think I was hittin somewhere between 18-19 with my 2.79

Yea, I've been hearing about the head gasket issue as well with that much boost. I typically see around 19-19.5, but since its cold out, I see more like 20-20.5. One thing after another , I gotta just do things one step at a time. I didn't realize that you were hitting that much boost, thats a lot of boost for just a 2.8" pulley.
