hey guys will my car be able to go on the dyno with the bc2 kit on if i come. and my car was throwing out black smoke on the dyno about 8k miles before it blew up. do u guys think the tune was bad or do u think the number 4 ring landings where already starting to break. and since the motor is new do u believe it will do it again with the smoke and if so should i bring it u anyway

The smoke is completely normal. Mine would smoke like a **** when I was on it. Black smoke is from fuel. Any other color smoke = bad lol

The tune on my car could have been better, I got 180 miles per tank without hitting boost once. At least the PE part of my tune was good until I fucked with the car. That's when **** started to run weird.

i believe you'll fit on the dyno, i'm pretty sure the guys up at TTP have a way to get lowered vehicles on it. also, i believe the same thing happened to you that happened to me last year. i modded my car wrong, i went straight from stock to complete bolt-ons to a 2.6 & 60s w/ absolutely no cooling mods. when i finally got coolings mods, i went up to TTP and got retuned. a few days later my #4 went. what i believe happened is that i modded wrongly, i went big and went home the tune i had on my car with no cooling mods is what screwed my car up and when i got a more aggressive tune from TTP my #4 couldn't hold it because it was already weakened. now that you basically have a completely new engine, if you were to mod it correctly w/ bolt-ons, cooling mods and then smaller pulley, injectors & dyno tune.... everything should be fine.

intake doesn't count for cooling mod. you should buy the GM Dual Pass w/ option b kit from Russo. that'll give you the added cooling you need before the meth. if i were you, i'd just go and find the right size jet to use for your meth injection, that way you know exactly what size is on there. here is the link to Russo's FS thread....

huh? are you saying have TTP install the dual pass & option b? if you are, he'd have to have his car up there by friday so then can install it all day friday and then saturday will be the dyno day. i know this because i asked Matt about having them install one of those AEM meth kits they can get.

haha negative, installing a dual pass is no cake walk, iirc there is alot of removal involved. you need to get the intake manifold off, this is why he needs to buy Russo's dual pass w/ option b now so that he can have it installed when he puts his engine/car back together. because if iirc his engine is all apart, idk

negative, installing these will not require you to get a retune. but in all honesty, it wouldn't hurt. adding all the recommended cooling mods (dual pass, option b & 2nd h/e), it is recommended to get a retune because your creating lower IATs which would allow the tuner to be a little more aggressive with your tune. now getting your meth injection working right would be a great addition because then your tuner can have "fun" with your tune, adding timing and tweaking a few other perimeters on the ECU. since you already have a tune from TTP, you can run your car once it's all put back together. but i'd recommend coming back up to TTP and getting a retune.

money for coming up to get a retune? you can always get that done later. but i seriously recommend to you to buy that dual pass w/ option b. esspecially since your running a 2.7 and your meth isn't working right at the moment.

i believe the hard part is removing everything to get the intake manifold out and since you already have that out.... it shouldn't be hard at all. there is a how-to or instructions on this site. but i'm sure that it'll come with instructions from GM
