so i deployed right now but ile be back in may and my emissions needs to be done in order for me to renew my tabs and registration so. any tips i have a cti race header with catted downpipe. stock exhaust modified by adding vibrant muffler from axle back. i just need to pass emissions. any tips or mechanics they know that will pass me.

I've never had anyone open the hood of my car at the emissions test site. Plug it in, check the computer, drive away.

 

sam, you should be fine all they do is plug into your OBD2 and if no codes your good

 

what kinda codes? cause i have the cat and everything i just need to pass haha

 

if u throw any codes they fail u lol u need to be CEL free

If it's not lit up and all of your internal emissions tests are green then you're good. Haven't heard of them using a sniffer or even looking for a cat.

 

ok damm thats the icon showing on my dash too. i had a cracked header and im going to have my new header put on could that have been the problem or could it be a bad o2 sensor?

 

What is the code it's lit up for? That's the first step in knowing how to fix it.

Goto a shop n get it read

 

Take it to Autozone or O'reilly's and have them scan it. Write down what codes it says. Post them here.
