Wife has given me "permission" to fix the downpipe and cat on the cobalt when I come home on leave (she mashed it over a speed bump). I'm thinking "fix" means self made 3" all the way back and sell the cat back to cover it. Anybody looking for a cat-back or handy with a welder?

 

How much and when do you plan on doing this?? depending on when you do this I am interested...the 2.2 and the 2.0 sc catback is the same though right?? If it fits an LS and I have the cash I will be interested.

 

I will be home around the end of sept and just want to get what ever the system is going to cost me to build (will be pretty cheap). I don't plan to get too complicated with this one (the GTO was a BITCH). probly just a resonator section and a muffler or 2nd res. section. If it looks easy I will put a cat in and make it a 3 piece.

 

Dont go any bigger then 2.75. If you do your going to loose a bunch of low end.

+1 on losing to much low end.
3 inch on the DP, then 2.5 all the way back unless you intend going turbo or something

 

Plan was for head work, cam and pistons. Just remebered that the Clear Image header has a 2.5" outlet anyway. So I will probly just make a new DP. sorry to get your hopes up NWAE Cobalt...kinda pissed myself now lol.
