Depending upon the thickness of the shims it could have changed your toe in significantly. The higher you go the more it toes the front in. Now, lowering the car will toe them out so adding shims under the rack could fix an excess toe out condition or it could cause excess toe in if you shimmed too far. The only way to know is get the car on an alignment rack.
