I have have a set of *NEW* Infinity Reference 605CS components that I decided I do not need installed in my car. They are brand new, never installed. I only opened the box to take a few pictures. The speakers are still in the wrapping, etc.

These fit in the doors or the rear deck? Never bothered to look at the speaker sizes...

 

I just checked crutchfields website and they should fit in the doors (for sure) and rear deck of a Cobalt. The midbass driver is a 6-1/2" speaker.

The rear speaker in the Cobalt pioneer system is a 6x9 (which you could have an adaptor made to put the 6-1/2" speaker in).
I am not certain on the rear speaker in the stock stereo for the Cobalt, if it is a 6-1/2" or a 6"x9".

but if the speakers are 4ohm you wont see as high an output as you would a 2ohm speaker
