18" Firestone Firehawk SZ50 Tires for $200

Two 18" 225/40ZR18 Firestone Firehawk SZ50 tires for $200. Less than 700 miles on the tires. (Original Price was $221 per tire). This is actually the third set of these tires I purchased before this size was phased out of production. These were the best tires I ever owned but I was not able to find two more new tires.
I also have two worn tires (5/32) that I would give away with these two tires for a set. I will not ship and purchaser will have to pick up with cash in hand.

Below is a writeup on the tires:

The Firehawk SZ50 EP is an Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed to provide comfort, performance and value. The Firehawk SZ50 EP uses a racing rain tire-inspired, V-shaped directional tread design to provide excellent wet traction when new and features UNI-T AQII technology to provide more consistent wet traction throughout the tire's life.

The Firestone technologies used to develop and produce the Firehawk SZ50 EP is called "UNI-T AQ," which stands for "Ultimate Tire Technology, Advanced Quality." UNI-T incorporates innovative beads, unique carcass shapes and tread designs that are tuned for performance and comfort. The AQ technology that enhances worn tire wet traction is actually inside the tread. The Firehawk SZ50 EP has a unique Dual-Layer Tread which has two rubber compounds, one layered on top of the other. As the top layer wears to about half tread depth, it begins to expose the underlayer which offers even more wet grip. This helps reduce the natural tendency for a tire's wet traction to decline as the tread's groove depth wears away. The Firehawk SZ50 EP keeps wet traction up, even as its tread wears down.

Note: While other tires feature dual layer treads, they have a cap (top) compound that provides wear and traction and a base (bottom) compound that is exposed only after the tire wears out (usually with less than 2/32 of an inch of tread depth remaining ). The base compound's traditional function is to improve tire durability by cushioning, supporting and isolating the cap compound from impacts and heat. Both of the Firehawk SZ50 EP Dual-Layer Tread compounds are an Extended Performance Compound (EPC). When a tire is in motion, internal friction generates heat which hardens rubber and causes it to loose flexibility. Introducing the EPC chemical agent to the Firehawk SZ50 EP tread compounds reduces the hardening and loss of flexibility. This further helps minimize the decline in wet performance as the tire wears. The Firehawk SZ50 EP also comes in a Firehawk SZ50 EP RFT (RFT for Run Flat Tire) version specifically engineered and sized for the Chevrolet C5 Corvette.
