2.2 Ecotec NEW

I am trying to sell a brand new eco 2.2 locally if anyone is interested. It was originally for a 2003 cavalier ls sport that I was going to do a turbo build for. I decided to just buy a SS/SC instead and I still have the motor. The motor has never been ran, includes fuel injectors, head, clutch/flywheel, all new. Does not include intake manifold/exhaust manifold. I need 600 out of it, or make an offer. This motor has been sitting in it's original crate/bag from GM since I got it last year and is in perfect condition. Shipping is not included if it has to be shipped. I would prefer a local sale but we can work something out. I could deliver it locally if needed. Pictures upon request.

BUMP!

Couple of people interested but no buyers yet!

I think it's priced fairly, or at least I am taking a loss on what I have in it. I would like to avoid having to move it to the house I just bought. I've already got enough car crap to move around! Any takers?

I think it is an L61. I am not sure if this variation is the same as whats in newer cobalts so maybe someone will chime in. I originally purchased it for my 2003 Cavvy LS Sport. I would think they are the same but I am not sure. Don't the new ones use a different style of fuel injection or something? Direct injection?

Yeah, you already have a 2.2. If you were planning on building something for big power this would be a good starting point. Just toss the stock internals and build it up! Still have the motor.....

Does it have a mechanical or electrical throttlebody?

I appreciate the interest but that won't happen. I'm not exactly in the business of giving things away, and I would seriously be losing my ass on it if I did that. If it doesn't sell for what I want it's going into a sandrail.

yeah, tell me about it. i just want to get that engine replaced so i can start working on other things like intake/exhaust, a supercharger, NOS, missile launchers, rear bumper deploying oil slicks and tacks. you know, the bare necessities.
