i know im probably going out on a limb here but im gonna try. i need a good 3800 series II engine. 97 or newer series II i think will work. preferably it would be from a buick lesabre. im not real sure what im getting myself into as i am not very knowledgeable about the 3800. additional info that anyone might think i need to know would be great.

im also going to need a complete rotating assembly for a 3800 series II as well. this will be used for a different project.

if anyone has good ideas for where to get this stuff at a decent price, that would be helpful.

3800 is a pretty common motor for older gm cars i think buick, luminas, and Grand Prix had them idk about swapping between cars but motor is almost the same.

 

alright...ill explain. my father has 2 buick lesabres that have blown engines. one of them still has a good block, the other is pretty much junk. therefore, i need an engine to put into one and an entire rotating assembly for another.

and as far as i know, they are all pretty much the same as far as the series II goes. i think the only thing that changed was the intake design from 97-98.
