im looking to get rid of my system that i have in my 06 ss/sc.. It is 2 12'' woofers with a 4000watt amp yes i said 4000 watts and a ported box comes with it i payed over 700 for it all i will let it go for $400 it is still hooked up so if anyone in the area wants to look at it and hear it before you buy it you may....

there is 2 40amp bus fuses on the amp plus the 100amp on the power wire thats on the battery

 

thats about a 250 max sub, and about 500 watt amp.... Dirty power at 16 volts is when it maybe could achive somewhere near 3000 watts

 

whats the model # of the amp.

haha my two type r's and my 2000w mono powerbass would put this to shame. i just sold my complete setup for 600.. that was subs amp capacitor and ported box...

My old Quad 12" Soundstream setup with 2 1000w RMS Soundstream Monoblocks would have put your system to shame as well

My Hifonics 1600 watt amp has 2 70 watt fuses..THe Big Big fuses. I guarentee that Pyle amp isnt 4000 watt, if so those sonys would be TOAST by now

It's this simple. Formula for watts is W=amps x volts. So 80amps x 14.4v = 1152 watts with 100% efficiency in the amplifier (so any heat you feel on the amplifier for example isn't making it to your speakers). 4,000 watts is not possible with 80 amps of fuses.
