Custom polished/black wrinkle valve cover

Did another one. They just come out so beautiful.

Have lots more pics on my phone, if you're interested text me and I can send you more. Here's what it looks like installed, this is one I did for myself on my red Cobalt. The polish quality on the one on my car is a little dull, it was sitting for a long time and could use a refresh. The one I just did is a mirror finish, looks amazing. Pictures really don't do it justice.

I can supply a painted to match coil cover for a small extra fee.

$125 + shipping.

PM here or text to 305-975-4570 for the fastest reply.

Thanks
Joe

Yeah it's an LSJ cover. I really spent some time on the polishing on this one, it came out really nice. Whoever gets it is really gonna have a nice piece. Just have to be careful not to use a harsh degreaser on it and stain it like one of the local guys did on his.

How's the chip resistance of that paint Joe?

Main reason I went back to an unpainted cover was due to the paint chipping over time. Drove me nuts.

Hard to say, I've never tried to chip it when I've used it.

It is a very heavy paint, you put 2-3 heavy coats on back to back, and it wrinkles as it cures. It's way more paint than the average spray job, so I don't think you'd chip it with a light impact. What was dinging yours up?

Every one of these covers I've sold, I've never seen anything chip on them.

I used VHT black pearl metallic engine enamel on my cam cover... prepped it perfect, and after about a year it would produce random small bubbles and flake.

Re-painted it, and again same thing. Note that these were very tiny blemishes, and hardly noticeable, but I'm very ****.

Said I was done with painted valve covers, until I saw yours. I just worry about longevity, because I'm over the days of installing and removing parts, lol.

Unsure, I've never had an issue with the stuff I paint but I've not had one of these valve covers on my car for any length of time. Your call I guess.

If I were to send you back a core, could we work out a deal on price?

The core is the cover on my car currently and I purchased it brand new last year, so it's mint.

Sure, I don't need another stock cover but I guess i'll just keep doing them. Stock covers aren't worth a whole lot though. What did you have in mind?

How about $100 shipped for the cover you are selling. When I receive it, I will ship my basically brand new, bare aluminum (no paint) cam cover back down to you?

I will cover shipping the cover back to you fyi.

Awww, i'd love to see one on a nice car like yours.

Bump for anybody else interested though. I have one more LSJ cover that I need to start polishing after this one. I don't know how I ended up with so many.
