just got home from work, ill post some up in about 9 hours when i get up

 

as far as i know you can have a side exit aslong as you have a cat on your downpipe (obviously in ma) and the loudness does not go over 96db.

mufflers arent necessary on any car aslong as they stay under whatever the state sets as the regulation for noise. in mass im pretty sure its 96db.

i have a side exit on my car (09 ss/tc) and it really isnt as loud as you think it would be once the car has warmed up. starting the car is ridiculous, but im pretty sure ill pass inspections no problem aslong as i still have cat on my downpipe and the mechanics dont get too **** with how loud the exhaust is.

living in lowell, ma too, most places will just pass it with no questions around here (so many damn hondas with mufflers chopped off). its all about if the mechanic feels its too loud or not. if you find a cool young guy to do it, more than likely he wont even measure the loudness... aslong as its not ridiculous of course.

Mass dosnt even do the wond thing on the rollers anymore so as long as u have a cat and no CEL u should be fine if u want glenn there a kid at mile standish gas in taunton that will pass u...I've known the kid for years just letting u no.... idk if it helps ur situation at all

 

yeah, i wouldnt be really worried about passing inspections aslong as you have a cat and dont get some uptight mechanic
