are you looking for a bare head or assembled?

 

im looking for a bare head just need another once since i broke off 2 exhaust studs and now i cant get them out

 

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I'd look on ebay. They have tons of them on there

You can use a center punch. Put a small indent in the stud, use a bolt extractor set and pull the studs out. No need to replace a head for something so small. If anything, bring it to a shop and have them drill and heli-coil it.

 

I got a bare 07 l61 head

 

funny story about that its cheaper for me to get a new head and replace it myself then it is to have them do that

pics and casting numbers would be sexy

Um no. If the head came in off the car I'd charge an hour, if it was on the car, your beat. Gotta pull the exhaust manifold off, work upside down, your getting charged out the ass for that.

 

He wants to swap heads anyway. Pull the head, bring it to a shop, even a machine shop.

 

thats the plan just swap heads then turn my old one around once i get the bolts out and make my money back

Would LSJ head work

 

it could but i dont want to have to go threw all the work of having to change all the things on it to make it work with the 2.2 setup

 

if you know how to weld pm me and i can help you get those studs out for cheap just cost you some wax washers and nuts

 

removing those shouldnt involve welding....

 

I have a friends who has a 06 l61 head
