Dejon Powerhouse Precision Turbo 5457 Ball Bearing Water Cooled PTE 465HP

I got this along with an entire Solstice GXP LNF drivetrain that I recently bought for my swap. This turbo is very low mileage, 2-3k maybe. I will throw in the Dejon lower intake pipe that is designed to go with it too. This was originally a part of a Dejon kit that retailed for over $2000 - and is no longer available. Includes wastegate actuator and oil/coolant pipes/fittings on the turbo.

Turbo alone sells for $1440 on ebay.

Asking $985shipped (lower 48) for the turbo and lower intake pipe. I can ship to other states, possibly other countries, for a little more $$ - just ask.

I'll throw in a Dejon manual boost controller for another $15.

Any questions; please ask. PM or post here.

No, that's why I posted it here, the engines are nearly identical.

yeah, but a solstice/sky are rwd, so the turbo sits different on that engine.

Can someone confirm this? In my experience the turbo location is common, downpipe/intake would be different.

Despite that, the OE turbo has a very odd turbine housing, so any aftermarket turbo will require an adapter to go from the OE manifold to the T3 flange.

There are a lot of Cobalt owners running aftermarket turbos, I don't see how this one would be any different.

Both the Solstice GXP and the Cobalt SS/TC use the same exhaust manifold, part #602397. I don't see how there would be an issue using a turbocharger from a Solstice on a Cobalt.

However, that turbine housing looks like it has Mitsubishi style inlet. You might need a specific manifold for this kit.

dejon has this turbo only for the solstice/sky and not the cobalt on their website.
I am sorry if i am wrong, and this looks like a nice set-up for the money, just not sure it will fit the cobalt...

This will 100% not bolt up to a cobalt without a manifold with a t4 flange, custom dp and the compressor housing output chopped. The intake pipe is also completely useless on a cobalt. Sorry op..

Have any of you ever installed something on your car that didn't bolt on and include stickers?!

For Christ's sake the turbo will fit your car - with some work - like any decent mod. Yes, it will require a manifold/adapter. Yes, it will require custom IC pipes, and downpipe. It will even void your factory warranty - crazy, I know! If your idea of "tricked out" is clear corners and a chrome tip, maybe you are reading the wrong thread.

More like forum bitching. If he would just post it on the forums I told him to post it in, he would sell that thing much quicker there than here. There are people looking to upgrade their Kappa's turbos all the time.

I started there, it's been posted on those sites for a while. You had one of the more constructive posts, so thanks.

I thought there might be some FWD guys that would jump at a great deal on a high HP turbo.

I just don't appreciate people that have no experience with something, posting as if they do...I'm no stranger to forums though, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Rage = over.

40rty, i just dont see how i would use this turbo without hacking it up to make it work.
Plus, this was a turbo that came with a car he bought, so there is no real evidence of how many miles are on it, plus, it will need a bov, which i do not wanna use, and the a/r is 60, which will be a little slow for my taste...
I will continue to look into it because i have the money to get it, i just dont wanna waste my money on something im not 110% sure of.

that turbo will not work o nthe cobalt with that 90 degree elbow on there. not trying to sidebust or anything of the sort but thats a kappa thing.

so for all you cobalt guys it would need to be modified. also is there some sort of adapter for the stock manifold or a replacement manifold?

Yeah, it will require an adapter from the stock exh manifold to the T4 flange. Or you could go with a full tubular manifold. This should be the case with any aftermarket turbo - the factory turbine housing is a strange one.

The adapter that I kept to use with the Mitsu turbo I am running would be my choice - much cheaper/easier than an entire manifold. I have made several custom manifolds with304SS weld elbows from McMaster (used for steam pipe) and water jetted SS flanges. You could whip up an adapter without a lot of work.
