I met this guy in person...
He said his name was "Tyler" but didn't know his real name is John. All I know is that he lives around the valencia/i-10 area in tucson. I spot his car sometimes when I head to work.
Wish I could help you guys out some more, but ever since he got the SC ported locally I haven't seen him since.

Also I do not believe he is still in the gaurd or not. But with all the lies surrounding him he might still be. He also keeps a gun in his car, and doesn't mind threatening people with it. I am not worried cause well.... Raiden will tell you about my "Armory."
Sounds like a career scammer though. I have known about him for over a year though, and he goes by Tyler. Makes no sense though, sounds like he has several Aliases.

and a random individual that does digital forensics for a federal agency and the ky state crime lab (state work is sparse though) 
that guy just does the actual hardware stuff, but finds the law itself fascinating, that's how he knows what equals what charges and is such a nerd he even have bookmarks to previous case law and USC as well as KY state law and reads the stuff to pass time

looks like his military pics go from about january 2009 - april 2009 give or take a bit of time. so i'm guessing he's out now
should've checked the dates on his fuji finepix e510, sony and canon power shot sd790 cameras used to take his pictures, earlier
is someone that scams really dumb enough not only to post a picture of his license plate, and post all of his pictures and leave the exif data in them? guess so
