yes and no, if you could find a blown tranny with a good bellhousing you could have it rebuilt with your gears and those housings, although, it would be cheaper to buy a used working tranny, most places around here want $1200 to rebuild mine

yep F35 is the only tranny that will work for us, doesnt matter which one though, out of a Saab 9-3, Saab 9-5, Saturn IRL, Cobalt SS/SC, Cobalt SS/TC, HHR SS/TC

some of them have different final drives so itll change your MPGs and stuff, but your car will go

the 2.2 uses the F23 Getrag I believe

l8r,
PD

ps we keep bumping this and sum1 will eventually sell us both trannies lol

yeah i cracked my case to...
front what iv found , junks yards want about 1400-to 1800 used. guess because the msrp is so high, and the car and parts are somwhat rare. buying from a user might be your best bet, but you might be waiting for a while.

I'm going the crate engine depot rout. little over 2,200 shipped with a new clutch, flywheel and flywheel bolts. i figure I'm better off getting it new form a reputable company then taking any chances with a shisty junkyard.

on the upside iv been enjoying the nice recaros in my wifes redline lol. and i love how lowkey the redline is, no one knows what the hell it is , and are astonished when they get there doors blown off by a Saturn.
