FS Beltronics Vector FX1 Accelerometer

Dug this up the other day...meant to try and sell it a while back but after our basement flooded and I moved all my stuff into the garage, I lost track of where it was. It's in good condition and it works pretty well. My friend took it with him to the track to use in his car and compare it with the 1/4 mile times at the track...it was pretty close after he'd calibrated it properly. Within about 1 or 2 tenths of a second of his actual times so it can give you a pretty good ballpark figure of what your car is running during the off-season. All you need is a good flat stretch of country road for a little over 1/4 mile...preferably in an area where there are no houses since you will still hit excessive speeds...

Asking $60 + actual shipping costs OBO...I've given up on trying to make my vehicles faster, but it was definitely a fun toy to play with. Or if you don't want to spring for it the full price, get some friends to go in on it with you and you all can swap it from vehicle to vehicle whenever you change some mods. It doesn't come with a manual, but the manual is available online here:

http://www.beltronics.com/manuals/gx1manualrev1.pdf

I'm located in Piqua, OH...I'll ship within the continental US, sorry Canucks. Shipping will be via the UPS Store and I'll just get a shipping quote from their site and charge that as the shipping costs when I come up with the final price. If interested, either reply here or drop me an email at jblackshire@gmail.com or GB2000@woh.rr.com (preferably the first one, but it doesn't really matter) and I'll get back with you fairly quickly...unless it's during the day, I'm a night owl.

Bump...I'm open to offers...whether they're within the 90% the rules state or not. I won't be offended as long as you're being somewhat reasonable. But to cover your ass, feel free to PM those offers. lol

Bump... all these people on here modifying their vehicles and there's nobody wanting to test their quarter mile times in the off-season while the tracks are closed?

Bump...

hahaha...I drive a Dodge Dakota and I originally was using it for it (I have a membership on here cuz one of my friends used to have a Cobalt and convinced me to join since he went to a few meets with him). I can't remember what my hp was rated at, but it was pretty pathetic and my best 1/4 mile time was like 18 seconds...ugh.

yes when you do a 1/4 mile run...it tells you your max hp at a certain mph...it really accurate...3~5 off from the dyno....all you have to do is input some things about your car and then your ready

Bump...yeah, exactly. The manual explains how to configure it for your vehicle...if you don't configure it properly, your readings will be WAAAAY off. Like when I originally just plugged it in and used it without touching any settings, I think it said I had like 71 hp. But yeah, if it's configured correctly both your times and other readings are pretty accurate. They're not dead on, but they're close enough to give you a pretty decent guess.
