well if im correct these are the nighthawk ones which are the same ones they use to sell before they stoped selling them. now they say to leave a stock bulb in the socket along with the led bulb plugged in.

so is there a type of resistor on here? or just the led board with the wires and a socket plug

 

If you look at the first pic you can see them, follow the power wire and its the blocks wrapped in electrical tape.
Can't say for certain, but that should eliminate the bulb being left in.
IMO it would drown out the leds and look weird.
