I have a ZZP Spun Metal Catted Stainless Downpipe and ZZP Upper Intercooler Pipe that I am looking to sell. The Downipe has less than 1,000 miles on it and the Intercooler Pipe is Brand New/Never Installed. As stated, the Downpipe is equiped with a Spun Metal Cat and only has a Bung for the Factory o2 Sensor and it is an angled Bung. I absolutely love these parts but I have decided to take another route with my Car.

After researching it seems that this PCM could have the VIN rewritten using HP Tuners or maybe even Trifecta. Worst case scenario this would make a great PCM for Tuning so that someone could keep their Factory PCM for other purposes. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I am still waiting on word from ZZP about transfering this Tune as it stands to someone elses SS/TC.

Im pretty sure the VIN would have to be reflashed. I paid 474.99+Shipping for the PCM with the ZZP Tune. If you plan to reflash I believe that would eliminate the ZZP Tune but Im not sure as I have not yet received a response from ZZP. Being that I am trying to clear out these parts I would say $300 Shipped within the U.S. for the PCM. Let me know if you are interested. Thank you!

 

I'm definitely interested in both the charge pipe and the downpipe, but I have been meaning to ask zzp, or ask someone else, what is a spun metal catted downpipe? I don't understand the spun metal verses say the other one they have on the website that is catted?

 

well I was looking for a plain pcm, and they sell for $100 less so I'll pass on this one, thank though.

 

Do be honest, Im not entirely sure. I ordered the Spun Metal Cat option because of all the rave reviews. Ill see if I can dig up some info on it. I do believe that I read somewhere that the Spun Metal flows better and handles the abuse of a turbo environment more than other Cat types.

does the upper intercooler piping bolt right into the stock setup in place of the plastic?

 

It does. Apparently it is easy to remove the joint that connects the rubber peices to the plastic peices. You reuse the rubber peices with the Upper Intercooler Pipe and discard the factory plastic peices. It comes with new clamps and hardware.

Yes sir, exact same one. I think they call it Wrinkle Black Powdercoat. It has the ZZP Logo up near where it connects to the Turbo.

Thats correct, I never installed it. I was slowly beginning to mod my SS/TC but plans changed. My future plans will probablly **** off quite a few of the SS loyal, I am hoping and saving for a 2011 Mustang GT. I love my Cobalt but I cant resist the calling of the 5.0.
