You people are obsessed with Retro's, why's it so hard to understand that some of us don't like the concept of spending 400$ in headlights and are happy and settle with Gen 4's. Those lights are actually pretty good best option after retros for half the price I personally would NOT spend more than 200$ in headlights, but that's just me. If OP wants to go that route then let it be.

putting a HID projector and good bulbs in the gen 4s is also an option.... a retrofit doesnt have to use the stock housings especially considering how horrible our stock lights look

Lol, lets not fight here haha

I had the en 4's on my old cobalt and the light output on 55 watts 6k bulbs was awesome, it was as good as my G37 projectors and CRZ, I know that morimotos are great which is why they are still an option for me too...

Anyways Kyle, pm'd you back.

$205 shipped with resealing glue was a no-brainer to me for a DIY plug-n-play retrofit kit

I fail to understand why some people will spend the money on exhaust and intake systems, new rims, suspension, new stereo with subwoofers, and all that.....but not want to spend the extra money on a decent retrofit. Instead, they want to cheap out and go with a set of halogen projectors and stick a cheap HID kit in them. Or even stick a low beam only HID kit in their stock housing.

The Gen 4 Depo headlights do look pretty nice, but the projectors aren't meant for HIDs. You won't get the same result as you would with true HID projectors. Now, if it was possible to swap in a bi-xenon projector into the Gen 4 Depo headlights, like FX-Rs, I'd so do it. Only reason I'd want to do this is because I want halogen high beams along with my bi-xenon high beams. But I think I'm gonna retrofit with EvoX-Rs into a fresh new set of Depo stock headlights. I'm currently using Mini H1s in my stock headlights now and they're a hell of a lot better than stock halogens. Where am I getting the money for this possible project? Well, tax time is just around the corner.

i understand and somewhat agree with that but the OP posted hes looking for gen 4s or retrofits and hes on a budget. Since he posted that its safe to assume he appreciates the light output of retros and styling possibilities but is also likes the look of gen 4s and is willing to go that route as well. so not really sure who you meant this for other then diegone??? and even then its pretty obvious that his main issue is the price.

lastly someone on this site needs to do a retrofit project on gen headlights and post it up for it to be stickied. not everyone likes the look of retros in stock headlights and for whatever reason ive yet to see anything done on gen headlights
