LNF motor

I have a 2.0 LNF motor out of a 2008 Cobalt SS for sale. Motor has 25k miles on it. Motor has no or low compression in cylinder #1. Im not sure what is wrong enternally. Motor still started and ran before i pulled it out of car. I have bought a new motor and was going to build this motor but idk if i want to anymore. Motor will come as full long block. i will also keep the turbo manifold on motor as well. Does not come with transmission. Motor would be good if you are wanting to build a motor and take your time and still want to drive your car daily. If you are intrested send me offers. I live in Oklahoma City, OK. I dont think shipping is a possibility. Thanks for looking.

Just throw some prices out there man. I dont want no low ball prices tho. I was running trifecta tune so its more than likely samething that has happened to others. Meaning bad piston ring or cracked piston.
Wouldnt be anything for some one to hone the walls and put new pistons/rods/rings depending on preference.

Make me some offers

You think it would fit in a 2006 Cobalt SS?

Someone swapped an LNF into an 07 I think. Everything has to be swapped over. Too much work IMO. He said he'd never do it again.

I know a local who might be interested, not sure if he planned on building a motor or not though. I'll send him a text soon.

I paid 1300 bucks for my lsj motor complete with less than 15k miles on her. Maybe that will give you an idea. And it costed me 150 bucks to get it shipped from north Carolina to arkansas.

I paid 325 for my lsj and it was a short block but came with brand new clutch and trans... motor had 37k

can't compare lsj to lnf tho cause there are deals out their just got to look on craigslist.

has anyone offered 500.00? cause that's what I would given that compression is low who knows why, oil pump could have starved the entire engine. please post a price OBO I am definately interested

The parts alone for this would cost about $1200, pistons, sleeves, head studs, gaskets, and that's if you sleeve it with stock sleeve if you go aftermarket the price would double. And if you don't know how to fix it your self any shop would charge you $1500 to rebuild this because resleeving takes work. So that 2700 in repairs. This could be a good deal if someone knew how to do it them self depending on how much you want to sell the motor for since you don't have a price posted.

what do you want for the long block(no manifold)? im a bit low on cash but this would be nice for a build later.

Well idk if the motor even needs to be sleeved. it might only be bad pistons. im not sure, i havent opened the block up. i replaced the motor bc i needed something quick. if i where to have fixed the motor i wouldnt have wanted to do just rings if that was the case. i woulda tryed to build the motor and i cant afford down time on my car and build parts for this motor are not cheap. but im not sure whats wrong. it might be as simple as repaceing rings/and or new pistons/rods and maybe honeing cyclinder walls. i found a good deal on the motor i got with really low miles on it. It was basically new with 1000 miles on it

If I where you I would slowly fix that motor for you could make a good profit, because you posted that the piston had 0 compression that's a cracked piston and when that happens it scratches the walls and you can't just rehone it. Trust me we had three cobalt tc have that happen to them, there cars would still ran good to and to 1 of my friends he had two dead pistons and was still beating people racing lol But depending on your price I might want it, To build it pm me what your asking for it
