gmpartsdirect.com has them for $980'ish, assuming they're in stock.

I am still interested... I currently have the turbo off and I think I am going to rebuild it. Spools are still good and in tact. I think I blew a seal and I think the bearing is messed up, housing is good but we snapped the shaft when we were going to take it apart. So I think I need to save money and just rebuild the turbo. Or get a good USED one. What do you guys think?

If its rebuildable, consider the big wheel upgrade! I know it will flow alot better with that new wheel, plus, you basically get a rebuild in the process. My shop can do it for $999. I know its a tad expensive, but its an excellent upgrade. Its an option at least. Or, you could get my brand new one for $600, lol. I am not sure how much a rebuild will cost, and how reliable it is, but thats definitely the most viable option.

I just bought a brand new turbo on ebay for $405! Guy said he had bought it for a spare incase his blew. Anyone on here that person? I should get it in about a week.

Anyone know who would want to buy my blown turbo? Housing is bad, all it needs is a new bearing and shaft....

would this be a good candidate for the big wheel upgrade??

If the housing is cracked, it MIGHT be able to be welded up. If he means housing is bad, as in worn to **** from the bearings, then it most likely will not be able to be used with the big wheel, since the big wheel still uses the same center section.

Any pics of said damage?

I havn't been able to take it apart... I know its the bearing because of play in the shaft and turbines.... oil everywhere including in the intercooler. I am going to atempt to take the turbo apart and look it over, I then will take pics and post them. From what i can tell, the housing is not cracked anywhere except for the hot side where its split and connects to the DP... 3 small hairline cracks, thats normal though i think.

I had to take the head off to get the turbo off, I forgot to tie up the timing chain, so is there any special way to time the LNF? I figured I would do it by put the #1 cylender to TDC. But then I am confused because all I know is old school with a distributer.

Is it safe to flush out the intercooler with purple power and water? Or should I just use gas?

Yes, I am working with tiny jack stands, plus a couple bolts were a pain in the ass to get to, so I said **** it and took the head off. Was way easier that way

As for the turbo... it depends on the crack, but yes, they are pretty normal. We, at WERKS will heat the housing up and weld the cracks, but its not as good as using a brand new turbo for the big wheel upgrade.

Timing the car... I am not familiar enough to say anything.

And for the intercooler, I would just clean out as much oil as possible, but I wouldn't use anything too harsh as the core is aluminum. It won't hurt the engine to take in a little bit of oil.
