LOOKING FOR A 2.4 LE5 reluctor ring
LOOKING FOR A 2.4 LE5 reluctor ring
hey any on you guys with blown up 2.4s that would be willing to unbolt your crankshaft reluctor ring and sell it to me ill make it worth your while.
well i got the reluctor ring issue figured out. the car is at peoples chevy in chula vista they're replacing the reluctor ring as we speak. I'mm pretty sure that im the first one to have the LE5 bottom end with the LSJ TOP END. along with my stock computer from my redline. please pay sttention to the next few weeks this is history in the making.
I' smell 300 WHP on a M62 blower witha 3 inch pulley. and gobs more TQ then the LSJ could make.

ok the reluctor rings are swappable from the LSJ to the LE5. for more info on this go to the RLF or ecotecforum. my screennames on both of those sites are fullthrottle. heres some pics. this discovery means big opportunitys for alot of guys. heres some pics.
heres some pics so you guys can see the difference.
in this pic the LSJ reluctor wheel is on the left the LE5 on the right.

in this pic the rings are in the position they would be mounted on the crank. the bolt holes only line up one way from what I can tell. in the pic the LE5 ring is sitting on top you can see a difference in not only tooth spacing size but its very obvious that the reference gaps are in different spots from each other. as you can see by the reference gap difference the LE5 ring reference gap is severly retarted compaired to the LSJ ring. this could explain why my down pipe was lighting up glowing red when the car was idling. actually by compairing this it explaines why my car was acting the way it was period... of you see the two rings in person it appears that the tooth spacing are slightly smaller from ring to ring the same goes with the reference gaps as well. The car (computer needed to see the LSJ ring and it wasnt so im almost certain that this will be my fix.)
Heres some other pics of the two rings.

i am in due time brother I just want to break the engine in with the M62. its bad enough that im probably going to make more power on a 3 inch pully then alot of highly modded LSJ guys make. LOL Its going to be st
upid power once I bolt the snail up.
Just playing I hope I didnt hurt anyones feelings.

thats why they make big tires and suspension mods nasty clutches ect.never had it to begin with. I drive a redline. the VVT thought is nice but the LE5 head dosent flow as nice as the LSJ head.

the snail will do it for YA. i finally came to the realization that if its big power your after that superchargers and 4 cylinders dont mix. turbo will always make more power. yes i know there are pros and cons of both and those that bring up the whole oh with that much power your never going to get it to the ground well..... they're just jealous.

No one ever will. the TVS will be nice but it still wont compare to the ease of a turbo swap. and the power that can be had. there will be die hards untill the end though. I believe that eventually the T/S will kick some ass to but it too will not compair to the raw power you can get from bolting on a turbo.
WELL BOYS I GOT MY CAR BACK. She runs strong as hell. I'll post vids later. This puppys got a pretty distinctive lope to her. No I havent cracked on it yet but the power is there. Iam throwing a misfire code but I believe its got to do with the cams.
you guys are so funny, turbo turbo turbo turbo....turbo turbo everything else sucks. turbos have thier issues too. lets just say a blower isn't the best idea for a 4 banger, but the whine sure as hell beats pssshhhh any day. Im not a die hard at all I like both. it would be kind of funny if a guy with a tvs whipped on you guys. (not saying it will happen) but it would be very intresting to see ya'lls reaction to it.
