I have a Pontiac g5 gt upper grille that is painted black and I would like to trade for a cobalt ss upper grille. doesn't matter what color... please message me if interested.

The g5 grilles are different than the cobalt grilles. How work the trade work?

Ok give A minute to explain ..... the cobalt ss an the g5 have the same exact bumper and fascia,,,,


what i am looking to trade is my center upper grills with the painted grilles that sit in the grilll.. I hgave a pontiac g5 and the cobaltss with have interchange parts between the two,,,, I want the cobalt ss upper grille assembly and i'lll trader you mine,

I have all the black Badges and black trim pieces to go along with it.... excellent condition...

 

right ud have to trade for a gm chrome grill because the standard grill options have the piece in the middle. any really would fit in urs but it would prob look funny

 

G5 grills have the center section cut off from where a regular cobalt is. like where the emblem bolts into does no exist on a g5 gt. the other guy could cut his cover to put the grill in, but you could never get yours to look right. i have the chrome grill if your still willing to try it, but it would not work

not all of them are incompatible I'm sure. my buddy did it. it depends on the year. he got one with the center piece attached to the grille insert.. maybe the one he got wasn't stock

no the chrome grill is like that. it "should" be interchangeable with the G5 grill. i actually bought a chrome grill to install on my car and when i found out i had to cut the bumper i scrapped that idea and sold it to another member

 

Just do what I did.

 

ok. so you dont want the cobalt ss grill what youre looking for is like the cobalt lt or ltz forgot which one. The ss grills dont have the chrome pieces surrounding it. Its just the back plastic crap

Think that guy has the g5 gt bumper and put some mesh in the grille spot.

 

Cobalt SS bumper 2.4. Cut out the bar and filled the holes it left on the sides. Cut a Cobalt grille's bars out and glued on mesh from the back.

The G5 bumper has 2 large cut outs at the bottom of the grille opening to accommodate the outer grille. So Cobalt bumper was a must.

Lol, yeah I love the end result. Nice upgrade from a G5 SE bumper.... Without fogs. I have OEM fog switch and bezel now need to reprogram BCM again and wire them to the fuse box.
