What are you people talking about? I pulled my slats grill out of my G5 GT and put an ss/tc grill in. Fits like a glove. Both bumpers are identical, no difference at all.

 

^^^ is correct, the fascia on the Cobalt SS is the same 05 - 10 so both the lower grilles are interchangable
The grille we used on the 05 - 07 SC (didnt come with one from the factory) Cobalt SS Radiator Grille Lower 15773841
snaps in and will hold itself in just fine as long as its snaped in correctly.

the 2008 - 2010 TC lower grille Cobalt 2008 2009 SS Radiator Grille Lower 25820009 requires 6 clips Cobalt 2008 2009 SS Lower Grille Retainor Clip 11588921 to help hold it in place, if you didn't use the clips it will fall out.

Also don't be fooled just because you saw it on Ebay it will be cheaper.

how do they "snap" in..are there holes that the clips snap into or for the other one are we supposed to drill holes for the clips? cuz i dont have any thing there for it to clip to unless it just hangs on the edge of the opening on the bumper

 

Look at the grill when it's off. The clips hold it to the perimeter of the inside opening. Mine all just snapped in and out. I didn't use any metal to hold or clip anything down. Been a month and no problems with SS/TC grill and Slats grill didn't use clips

i dont have a cobalt so i dont know the lingo and the diff types of grilles...
trying to clarify lol so im guessing your original grill was the "slats" one which didnt use clips..so it just held on the the edge of the opening?
and your ss/tc grill how does it attach? where did u get yours from?

 

The one that's slanted is the supercharged grille and the honeycomb one is the turbocharged one I was selling the supercharged one and silverss_tnr is selling the turbocharged one

Technically the slanted grille is the ss/na/sport grille since the ss/sc didn't come with a bottom grille from the factory lol.

My slats is off my G5 GT. I already sold it, someone PMed me and bought it. But the TC grill snaps right where the slats grill snapped out

Well first you gotta say which one you want.

 

71.25 bucks and up new on ebay. TC lower grille part number is 25820009 They are nice and I would run one but not for any 200 bucks or even 71~ If I got a free one or found it cheap in a junk yard then I would run it.

 

^^ agreed no way am i paying that much for a piece of plastic..so if anyone has either grill in good condition with all or most clips still on then shoot me a message plz
