Well I'm glad I don't have to read about another idiot who gifted someone money in order to save $5. Thanks for letting everyone know and if we can just get everyone to stop gifting paypal a lot of the scammers will just go to another forum

The user "kurtreed" also did the same thing to me, and to be honest - I did send him money through Amazon Payments. I have asked this guy to send me pictures of the rims with his username beside them, he has not done so. He actually got in a defensive mode asking me "why the picture is such a damn deal to me" and all this bullshit. I filed a dispute with Amazon for my payments. I would ask that this user be blocked from using this site. He has yet to send me pictures and it's been 2 days.

Kurtreed - People like you need to fall of the face of the earth. If you aren't out to scam anyone, that's fine, but don't act like a dick because I'm asking for pictures when you have $525 of my own money.

Another reason why I don't deal with low post count members unless it's someone local I can deal with face to face.

screw that stuff man, ive dealt with a few over on a caraudio forum, gifting money on paypal is the dumbest thing ever. its only 3% lol if the seller is so worried about it then they should adjust their price. Glad to hear he didnt get you and I hope the Amazon thing works out rectorc

Low post count is an indicator, but not necessarily a complete red flag.

I've been screwed over by a very long standing member on here. Still trying to work it out, but 6-8 months is a bit long don't you think?!?

I never deal with members unless they have itrader feedback.

I have (fingers crossed) had no issues yet selling/buying items on this site.

good luck recovering either the merchandise or your money back. i have no experience going through amazon...i hope they take care of you

Yeah this dude hasn't send me a message after I sent him the money and after I've been demanding a picture for evidence. He did send me a picture once, but like the other member said, it was from someone else's gallery we believe.

I also started a dispute against him last night with Amazon. They are handling everything at the moment, and the money I sent wasn't a gift. That's what I love about Amazon Payments. It's a little different than Paypal, and you still have a few fees, but Amazon is really good with handling disputes. I will update you guys about this whole transaction. They said I have 10 days, if he doesn't respond to their emails, then the judgement will be for myself. The great thing about this is, he hasn't sent the "rims" so he has no proof of shipment or anything of that nature, and Amazon will demand pictures and all that stuff, so I'm just saying GOOD LUCK to him at the moment!

I have used Amazon a few times and they are really good about these kinds of things. Amazon Payments is the best alternative to Paypal if you choose to not use that service.

I don't have any itrader feedback, but I have done numerous deals online and on this site. It's just being cautious about your trades/purchases, and in my case, I wasn't so cautious.

Some members still gift, but I will never gift. Spend the extra % of the cost and protect yourself. I send my payments through Amazon Payments as a good/service and they are protected!

Amazon contacted him and he said he was "waiting for the payment to clear, then he was going to ship them"....yet in the mean time, I've been emailing him and trying to get a hold of him on here and no response, but he will tell them that. I am giving him one last chance to prove to myself and everyone he's not a scammer, but if he is, I've already made Amazon aware that I would like to dispute it to the highest extent that I can.

Just an update for you guys.

This dude has still yet to contact me back. I sent him the money on the 22nd, it is now the 1st. Amazon has told him to provide a tracking number of the package. He has 10 days from the time I started the dispute to provide this..

Another update. It's now been 3 weeks since I've sent this payment. I have been working with Amazon, they said that I am protected because of the situation and it's under $1,000. I will continue to update you guys as well as I'm working with a moderator to get this guy banned from this site!

The problem with these ass holes is that they find a new place to scam guys. I ran into one on here a few years back and got ripped off buying a used head that never existed. People suck
