New in box stock ss/sc exhaust FS

I have a replacement exhaust coming from GM that will be brand new in the box one piece. I am not sure if I want to put the stock one back on. If anyone is interested, please let me know. This retails for $717. I am thinking that I will let it go for $350 OBO. Or I will trade it for an aftermarket exhaust if it is in good condition.

I'm pretty sure that a new OEM exhaust will come in 2 pieces and has to be welded back on man

As far as i was told, it is a one piece se, I don't think that they expect a mechanic to know how to weld. But I will find out for sure today.

EDIT does not need to be welded!! They have clamps connecting the piping to the the muffler.

hey it's your exhaust man, but there is no way that they were gonna ship it in one piece

Someone on RLF got a replacement and it was in 2 pieces too

If it does need to be welded together, then the person who wants to trade/buy this exhaust will get it in one piece welded by a professional not an amatuer. Thanks for the bump

well actually....

It's gotta go on the car in two pieces & THEN be lined up & welded together

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's really tricky/impossible to get it on the car in one welded piece (you gotta lower the rear axle, but the brake lines don't have much play/room)

Much easier to weld it on after it's on the car

FYI you don't need to weld the stock exhaust if it is a warranty replacement. the two ends are different sizes, so all you do is use a clamp to put them together.

I traded the exhaust today so this is no longer for sale.

who cares at this point. are you going to go out to the guys house that I traded exhaust and weld the exhaust for him for free? I didn't think so. If GM says that the stock exhaust can be clamped and will warranty it like that, then who cares, it's a stock exhaust that is restrictive anyway. I have a new exhaust that look and sounds great. All I was doing was trying to sell an exhaust and you thought that you would put your two sense in. It's traded and done with!
