you have another option of opening the trunck with the button on the left of the steering wheel in the little consol in the dash ..

 

but they are both done electroniclly using the same wires... Yet my keyhole still doesnt fit the key i have

Okay so I have an LS yellow spoiler...looking for an SS yellow spoiler.

Thats why you swap locking mechanism out. The lock is triggered by a sensor to the mech not the lock itself. I swapped decks ad I still can use my key and keyless remote to pop the trunk.

 

isnt it a pain in the ass thou... to swap the keyhole
