Performance alternator
if you're like me and get up to 7k rpms regularly, you need this set up. After destroying 2 alternators from spinning them too fast (one destroyed a clutch in the pulley and the other had the internal cooling fans spread out and destroy the casing), I came up with this solution. i got a brand new oem alternator from gm and had a machine shop make a larger non clutch pulley to spin the alternator slower. at 7k rpms our 3:1 alternator spins at 21k. With this set up you're at around 18k or less with no charging issues at idle or under load. I used it for about 5k miles. I want $200 for it. which is less than a new one cost, but i'm LS swapping and have no need for it.
