its not alot...you only have to go to the dealer and have them unlock it. I already have done this before. I thought this stereo I got was MP3 and if i would have known it wasnt i coulda bought this one...

Everything I've seen so far is that it can be made to work but you lose some functionality.

edit: by the way it depends. i've had radios unlocked for free as my dealership is pretty good about this stuff and they just mark it off as warranty work
