I want to take my s/c wing off, but I don't want to plug the holes on the trunk and I don't want to swap it with anybody. I want to have it if I ever need to trade the car in and I can put it back on. What can I expect to pay for a used/new black trunk skin? Or should I just get the carbon fiber trunk? I know it's pointless, but I'll check ebay. I'll probaly bring back results like "Cobalt JDM Trunk", or "Euro style Cobalt Trunk"

 

i called gm about this. i got the part # and price for an Ls trunk. w/ paint it would have been more than the CF trunk. plus CF is lighter and better

 

yeah, I just don't know if I want to just have a carbon fiber trunk without having the hood because neither are far up on my list right now. I just don't want the wing anymore. I work for Avis/Budget, I may be able to get one off of a front end wrecked Cobalt..

Try find out what other gm products have the same trunk possibly a pontiac G5 and try to get one from a wreckers.

 

G5 has the same trunk as the Cobalt sedan so I wouldn't have backup lights if that's the way I went

No other GM cars have the same trunk as the Cobalt coupe with the lights on them.
