I had this unit in my 2006 Cobalt SS and used it to add an audio aux port to the factory radio. It doesn't include the 30 pin iPod integration cable (that broke long ago). You can either plug your phone right into the aux cable or you can add a Bluetooth receiver to it so you can make your factory head unit Bluetooth compatible (Search Mpow Bluetooth Receiver on Amazon).

To install you pull out your radio plug the car factory harness into the included uPac harness then plug the uPac harness into your factory radio. It only works with factory headunits that are satellite compatible.
