If you get the ott stage one you need cooling mods the 2.8 pulley with create alot of heat when you drive hard. Heat is what kills these engines.

 

he already ordered the gm kit. but the thing is with the OTT kit you still have enough to maybe pick up a HE

 

an evo will have you by about a car or even with you.
don't regret the stage 2 kit, be happy with the extra kick for now and learn more before you jump into something like they're all telling you to.

Guys I understand trust me that ottp will be faster than st2 thats common sense but you don't need to go saying it's the best to people who know no better, let them ease into it and learn some before they make a jump that big it doesn't make sense to rush it...
I'd like to find someone with the ottp st1 too i bet im faster or equal at the least on a 3.0 and 42's .

thers no rushing really we told him what he should know, even added the cooling that he would need, we're just trying to save him some money while being decently quick.

 

aint gonna save him money when he blows up cause hes got a 2.8 and no cooling and doesnt know the first thing about cooling and doesnt know he cant do pull after pull. i assume with no cooling mods ott would bump the power back a good bit in the tune which would just hurt it even more...no offense but u gotta think about things before u say them

which is exactly why i told him he would need to do cooling mods and told him to get a HE. he seemed to know well enough that he did need cooling mods, which is why he was asking about them aswell.

lol I didn't say to limit it to a HE, I threw it ot there as a good cooling mod to do, jst like how someone mentioned the dual pass a few pages back. as for a HE not doing **** for the ott setup, that's bs. exsoccer ran back to back pulls on the 2.8 and HE with no issues. not to say that your cars going to be at optimum performance all the time, just saying it won't do **** is a ridiclous statement. besides Im sure josh or sean would see his mods and tune accordingly, not go ***** out. but if you think it was a bad idea for me to sggest the OTT kit to save him some extra money and invest the rest into cooling mods then that's fine, its yor opinion and your entitled to it.
