Hi,

I'm running my 2.4 on mobil one and the dealer said I should change my oil cap to a SS/SC one so they don't forget that and put dino oil in it.

that's good but I don't want to pay the price they're asking for it, so anyone has one wasting space somewhere that they'd like to get rid of for a ridiculous price?

Maybe someone who changed theirs for a MRZ Performance one?

don't waste your money. when you get your oil changed, tell them to use mobil one. or do it yourself, it will save you over half the money probably.

if you tell the dealer you want mobil one, and they "forget" and put in regular oil, you should never even consider going there again. and the dealer actually telling you that they would forget means one of 2 things:

1) they're trying to rip you off
2) they're too stupid to understand that you want synthetic instead of regular.

 

it's not THEM forgetting but ME forgetting to ask them

 

Ebay has some nice shinny oil caps for sale that say Mobil 1. Search under ls1 oil cap, they are the same as ours.
