are you talking a valve that would allow you to go from the standard exhaust to straightpiped?

anyone have thoughts on the size cutout? Pushing near 300 to the wheels and debating wether i want a 2.5 or 3" i have the ZZP DP that is 3" down to 2.5", but i was going to remove the 2.5" portion of the dp and replace it with the cutout but unsure which size to go with.

yup i can see the attraction to electric for sure.

but for me i know that the only time ill have it dumping is on track days.
and since ill already be jacking the car up to put the slicks on, wont be a big deal to uncap the dump

I cannot possible see why the electric one would have to make a 100+ dollar difference... I'd see if it was possible to go with the manual and if you really need the automatic option, see if something can be fapped maybe?

the difficult part, is you have to have something, that when closed, can form a tight enough seal to withstand the exhaust pressure, otherwise its gonna leak like the titanic and sound horrible.

thats why electric cutouts generally arent cheap.

i personally got rid of hte cutout, wasnt feeling it. cobalt sounds like **** striaght piped and you lose a lot of low end torque when its open fully.

I don't think the cutout is necessarily a bad idea. I think people need to rethink the location of said cutout, though. I think a cutout would be nice at the end of the tunnel after the cat and resonator. It's loud, and obnoxious for long periods of time, but w/ an elec cutout, that wouldn't be an issue.

Trust me, I've had me car w/ just header, header/dp, header/dp/res and head to tip w/ and w/o a muffler. I think that I have finally found the best combination on my car, but we'll see what people have to say when I put videos up tonight...
