I think you have to buy it from a retailer so you can get an individual license number

 

i was under the impression the liscense number was transferable. if someone knows post please.

 

Someone could sell you theres if they wanted to. Just make sure you get enough credits to tune your car.

Do you have to purchase HP Tuners from the HP Tuners site or is there somewhere cheaper to purchase it?

 

i dunno, but i'm trying to find out, used is good for me too, i don't wanna pay 650 for some software and a cable, if i can get it used i will.

 

You have to get it from HpTuners or you can get it used.

 

well hopefully i can find it used then, i've been trolling a bunch of other forums looking for someone selling it.

 

Look on HpTUners and all the other GM sites. There is a lot of sites out there haha.

awesome, thats the confirmation i wanted, now it's just a matter of finding someone selling it.

 

yeah it was easy for me because before i sold it i tuned the guys car ,then some **** happened and i was able to get rid of it to someone who had already been tuned by me ,

if you buy it off someone make sure there is at least 2 credits left and make sure they give you the application key , serial # , hptuners login information (username along with password) ,and Cd to install on your cpu along with a usb cord and a obdII cord and the little black box

Because it take 2 credits to unlock one VIN #

Or you could buy one that has all of your year/model unlocked. For example, mine has all 06 2.0 Cobalts unlocked.
