WTB: Power Window Components
WTB: Power Window Components
I am looking at converting my ls manual windows to full power. Here are all the parts I am looking for:
Left & Right Power Window Door Panels (Preferably Black)
Left & Right Power Regulators
Left & Right Window Motors
Left & Right Door Handle Bezels with Power Window/Lock
Left & Right Power Window Switches
Left & Right Power Window Door Panels (Preferably Black)

Left & Right Power Window Switches
I'll check tomorrow on the price. Be prepared to spend over $300 for everything....you need different door panels, cups, switches, the motor, and a bunch of other parts. Each motor is MSRP of $125. The other portion of the power window setup is over $100 a piece, plus all the switches, cups and door panels.
The door panels I was going to get fell threw. I can get the regulators and motors locally so my main concern is trying to find another set of fully loaded door panels. If you can get some or have some let me know. Thanks
Unless you re really stuck on having your car look like it came with PW from the factory, you can do it ALOT cheaper by picking up one of Autoloc's power window kits, You can get the kit for two windows with a one touch up module for about 130$.
I looked at them but i didn't know how the switches would work. If i could hook that kind of a system up to stock wiring harness and incorporate the stock switches I would. I can get stock regulators and motors for $120 its just a matter of finding the door panels. I mean I could always just swap out the handle thing and put one that has the window buttons in but then I have a hole in panel from the crank. Can you buy just the door panel plugs?
The kit usually comes with everything needed, including the plug, it actually replaces the crank unit, all you would need to do is mount the switches where you wanted them. The problem with using stock components is first, the cost involved, with the door panels and switches being the most expensive, not to mention wiring it in, as I m not sure if a non power window car has the harness there to plug into. Going with an after market kit is your best bet. My actual idea is to see if I can get my hands on some power window doors for cheap down the road, and then wiring up the after market system to work with the factory switches, which should only involve a positive and a negative wire. I think this would be the easiest, cheapest, and not to mention cleanest looking way of doing it. The hardest part would be finding complete door panels on the cheap at a salvage yard or on ebay.
