hey guys im lookin for a ss/na or ss/sc rear bumper. i would like black and im looking for a good price. the reason im lookin for one is cuz of a minor fender bender and insurance rates are gonna go up due to a speeding ticket. if you could help me out please let me know!! thanks guys!

I backed into something with my cobalt 3 months after I got it. I didn't want to claim it because it wasn't all that bad but it was bad enough to rip off the lower bumper kit. I ended up ordering the part and fixing it myself. Give me a few mins and I might be able to find where I got it and the part number.



here are all the part numbers for the rear bumper and what not. The website I used was http://www.fredbeansparts.com. They have really good customer service and they will help you figure out exactly what you are looking for. BTW the bumper doesn't come painted.

I have an extra ss/sc bumper if you want it its in laser blue but It doesnt have the rear lip

 

how much would you want for it? cuz i really need black and if i get that its gonna cost me another 200 or so to get painted.... ?

 

yeah man shipping was like 50 dollars or so. It came in a a huge box. All i got was the back lip not the whole bumper. It cost me around 150 just for it. There really isn't a super cheap solution to fixing your car. Not unless you can actually find someone who wants to sell you one cheap and its already black. You might find one in a salvage yard but I doubt it. It cost me about 250 to fix mine myself. Beats $750-1000 getting done else where.

actually i was just looking around, rk doesnt make just a rear bumper seperate from a full kit. They just make a lip. I'm sure u can find an SS rear somewhere on ebay or something. Or there are some aftermarket rears out there that look like SS

 

Will the ground effects from the SS\SC mount straight over to the SS 2.4 or would u need a new bumper

 

you would need the ss/sc bumper

 

yes. actually the ss/sc bumper is the same just has slots in it thats all. just bond it to the bumper with out the tabs. i just picked up an 07 sc rear bumper
