2.4L resonator delete

Had the resonator on my car deleted since it kept scraping on even the smallest speed bumps and it was pissing me off so I had this problem solved yesterday. Dunno why the GMPP resonator is so huge compared to the stock one but whatever.

ive been debating this. or even replacing it.
what do you think would be better? replacing or deleting also did you just put pipe inbetween? did you clamp it or weld it? can you post pics
this is what i hate about the gmpp exhaust because im lowered and sometimes scrape and i want it a little louder but im hoping my downpipe does that

I had this done at Mufflerman, they just cut out the resonator and welded in a new piece of pipe. The sound didn't get that much louder, but it is noticeable. Not stupid loud either like some exhausts I've heard, those just make your car target practice for cops.

alot more noticable than with the resonator right?

Huge thanks for making this thread. I've been considering a resonator delete for a few weeks now, and this convinced me.

Nope, I don't even have anything to take a video with. Sorry man. It does sound good, though, I can tell you that much.

I'm going to clarify my last post really quickly. With extrude honed mani, zzp 2.5" catted dp, and gmpp catback the exhaust sounded good.

I did end up getting the resonator cut out, and I'm not sure I like it. It got quite a bit louder (which I like) and is now slightly raspy (which I hate) from about 4k revs up. I do like the sound before it gets raspy, though... So I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Decisions, decisions. The whole idea of spending more money just so I can make my exhaust the way it was before is sickening to me
