all of them look a lil soft to me marisa, could be the hotlinking from facebook that is to cause though cuz i know you and you are usually dead on with the focus. lovely pics regardless

Well I got all fickle with my next camera selection.... Almost went with a 5DMKIII... then I found a D800E in stock. So the Canon 17-40 f/4 L lens has to go..... 600.00 takes it shipped. (Paypal) Its brand new unused in the box. Goes for 799-830 new.

 

just won a brand new nikkor af-s 35mm f/1.8 dx on ebay for $165.00 including shipping

 

(Was selling mine for 150 shipped priority ) Decided to Keep it. Surprisingly f/4 and below works great on full frame.

Shot this at a band shoot with it on my D700 w/ 35mm 1.8 af-s dx (Facebook quality)

 

damn that's a hell of a price. i have been shopping around for the past month and found the auction with 6 minutes left. i bid on it when it was 125 but at the last minute (of course) the price jumped up to 145 plus the shipping. that's the best price i have found so far even used were more than that.

nice pics!! you take some great ones. hopefully i will get there with mine. i just haven't had any time to experiment. i bought my d5100 a week before i went on vacation and only used it on vacation. didn't really have any time to experiment before hand or since i got back. but i have been reading a lot and trying to figure everything out. now i just gotta get some time to go play

 

what type of photo editing software is everyone using? all i have is the view nx2 that came with the camera (d5100) and (to me) it is very difficult to use. i am fairly computer literate but that program seems very hard to navigate through and figure out

 

i love my 35mm 1.8, havent went out and taken pics for awhile though.

and i just use iphoto

 

Yeah that's a fantastic lens - absolutely crystal but I haven't used it in a while either - not that I've photographed anything in a while.
