Not interested in the huge files the D800 Produces. My D5100 can take just as good pics as my D600 can.

Its the glass that makes the difference.

Full frame is amazing I might one day in the far future upgrade but I'd have to sell all of my lenses so I'm not going that route anytime soon.
Ive read and heard that you a better off getting the D600, save the $1000, and put it towards good glass...

me and Rick have been talkin about this subject for awhile.. lol

D5100 and D7000 have the same sensor so the D5100 is a great entry-level, beats the D60 I started out with.

My current setup myself. The 24-70 2.8 is an amazing piece of glass.

also have a 35mm 1.8.... but not sure if it works :/ and a 55x200 4-5.6 both I had with my 3100.

no more "cheap" glass for me!!! time to play with the big boys!

If that is the 35mm f/1.8 that is like $200 with no aperture ring that is a DX lens.

All DX lenses will work on a FX but just in DX mode. It will sense the difference and adjust to the DX lens.
