I was using the 18-55mm for them. I love how much control I can get with the camera over the point and shoots I had in the past. My first DSLR as well.

The exhaust tip does stick out that far. Does a good job of covering up the stock muffler. only way I can afford "poke" cuz wheels and coilover for my DD aren't prob the best idea in MI. Yes I know I'm a bit lame for that, but whateve's.

The T2i is my first DSLR as well. got tired of blurry photos and the point and shoot camera i had refusing to take pictures in low light conditions. i'll never go back

That 18-300 looks amazing. Nice focus and the bokeh is pretty smooth. Nikkor?

Sandwich for you guys:

Tappan Zee Bridge Panoramic by =ForsakenOutlaw on deviantART

I can't post the pic here because it's 5000px wide but it's a pano of the Tappan Zee Bridge in B&W. The original was over 27000 pixels wide!

21 shots @ 125mm stitched together.

I guess I was in a hurry to eat it, and didn't pay attention to the AF points.

No that's all done manually. Simply put, you need to find a good spot for starters. A tripod can help but not necessary if you have good light and high shutter. Zoom in to a desired area, that was 125mm but I've done 50mm or 35mm before, it depends how much detail you want to do.

Then basically start at one extreme side and just move in a straight line across, snapping a photograph when the next one is 1/2 way across basically. Photoshop has a merge feature that will stitch them together. Afterwards it's just simple photo editing.

I've been told this and I see why but set your settings once and don't change them as you swing across otherwise you'll get light variations that look ugly.

I wish i had some extra funds to pick up the Nikon 70-200 2.8f vr2 lens. But at $2,300ish its not a cheap lens. Its my next lens on the list followed by the Nikon 14-24 2.8 to complete my Holy Trinity.

I do love my 24-70 2.8f Nikon i have and its on my camera most of the time.
