Thanks man, yeah I got some of those clowns in there too. I think penguins are awesome, don't know what it is really but they're goofy as hell and I find it hilarious lol.
@ Tsbbzm, post up your camera settings on some of the shots you're taking and see if we can't "diagnose" what the issue is with the grain. All of these shots that I posted up at the zoo were taken with a kit lens so there's no reason you should be getting grain in any shots if your settings are correct.

Those at the zoo you took are great Sh3itskees. You can see every detail.

Thanks for all the help. Ill start throwing in the settings and hopefully you guys can help in that aspect. Ill look for that 35 1.8 but im not seeing one for 200 made by canon. Theres a bunch for around 200 for Nikon.

I really want to get the 50mm but I keep hearing that the 50mm is an odd focal length for the DX sensor... I would rather get the 85mm 1.8. Nikon makes a decently cheap 85 1.8.

There are two canon ef 35mm f/2 that are very sharp. Sharper than the 1.4 even. I have the older non is 35 f2 that I shot that corvette picture with. I got it from the canon website refurbished with warranty for $230

This is what I hate about Canon. Their bodies seem to be a good value but they ruin it by not having any good lenses in this segment. All they have is the 50mm 1.8. The next best thing I could find is the 40mm 2.8 Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Lens 6310B002 B&H Photo Video
Fast aperture, tripod.. there would still be lights in the garage. You'd have harsh reflections/glare/hot spots, so CP maybe.

Canon has such a better lens selection. Just get the 50mm, it's dirt cheap and you won't even know what an 'awkward focal length' is because you don't have a 50mm on a full frame. 35mm vs 50mm = take a step back. Problem solved.
My motto. Yis.
